How to Pick Up Girls at the Gym - A Few Simple Tips

Our lifestyles today are fairly sedentary sitting behind a computer all day, driving everywhere and generally not walking or exercising at all. This means that a lot of people have resorted to going to a gym to get their exercise. If you have been there recently you will agree with me that the gym is now a place full of girls. In this article I will give you a few simple tips on how to pick up girls at the gym.

The first thing you need to do is to choose a gym that suits your particular lifestyle or interest. I am being serious here because there really are lots of gyms hat have themes to them or are full of gay people. When I say gay I don't mean happy people. Many gyms are full of people who prefer the same sex so you might want to check what your local gym is catering for.

There are also some pretty upmarket gyms that are full of girls who are looking for rich guys. So unless you fit that criteria, you might find it a little difficult to pick up girls there. I personally prefer smaller local gyms that are not full of muscle bound freaks but have lots of single girls doing their cardio workouts.

Make sure you wear something decent when you are at the gym. If you look like a slob then you will also find it difficult to pick a girl up. You don't have to spend thousands on designer gym gear, just look decent and obviously make sure you feel comfortable.

You might want to be a little subtle when you meet a girl at a gym and not ask her out in the first 2 seconds you see her. This will generally frighten her away and you might find yourself with a bit of a reputation amongst the people there fairly quickly. Get to know the girl over a few visits before you try to ask her out. Of course if the opportunity arises then by all means ask her out earlier if she seems interested.

When you arrive at the gym say hello to everyone that crosses your path including the guys and the girls you are not interested in. This will just show you are a friendly person so when you single out a girl she will not feel spooked by your approach. If you see a girl you like the look of, find an excuse to train near her. Not right next to her, but maybe one machine away. If she looks like she is having trouble with something offer to help her, or if she looks like she knows how to use something, ask her to teach you. If she is using weights you can offer to spot for her something that everyone will appreciate.

There is no real secret to learn how to pick up girls at the gym. Use the same techniques you use elsewhere with basic conversation and start the ball rolling. Just don't try and talk to her if you have been working out hard and stink, or if she is obviously busy. Pick your moment and be subtle.
